About Me

Hello! My name is Lulu Choi, an aspiring artist from the suburbs of Pennsylvania USA, who moved to the heart of Philadelphia for college to pursue my aspirations for the future in character design, animation, and presvisualization. I previously attended the University of the Arts, where I studied 2D animation for two years, before transferring following the school's bankruptcy. At Uarts, I focused on 2D drawing and storytelling, and completed my first independent student film as a sophomore, learning the filmmaking process from previsualization, character and environment design, to a finished film.
I now attend Drexel University's Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design as a second year, pursuing a degree in 3D Animation & VFX, despite my passions lying in illustration, and 2D artworks. I do not have much work from Drexel under my belt yet, but my goals are to gain fluency in Maya and other 3D programs in order to pursue my newfound interests in character modeling and animation. I am currently working on sharpening as well as broadening my skills in the artistic field in order to hopefully join the entertainment industry in the future :).
I have chosen this path despite its instability because I have always thought storytelling to be so powerful and interesting, as it can be a tool to articulate emotions and experiences that would otherwise be difficult to convey, and I would love my visual storytelling to feel meaningful to and touch the hearts of many, as my favorite stories have and continue to do for me.
